Get Christmas Ready for after Lockdown
7th November 2020
With lockdown back on until at least the begining of December, you really can not be too prepared.
If you are allowed to have family to stay, hosting a dinner, or throwing a party, here are a few tips to ensure it goes off without a hitch.
1. Make a list (or Two)
Most of us currently have time to take a few minutes to sit down with a cuppa and make a list of everything you need to do and buy for the holiday season. Write gift lists (who and what), grocery lists and to do lists. Doing it now, and seing exactly what and how much you need do will save your sanity, especially if things change a few days before Christmas.
When you have made your lists, start ticking off things you have done. Ordering online your gifts, stocking up on non-perishable groceries, laundering your guest towels, that sort of thing!
2. Order your Furniture NOW
And we really mean now! If you’re planning on ordering a new table and chairs for the Christmas meal or a sofa bed for guests, don’t delay! Quality furniture is not something you can have delivered the next day, it can take 2-4 weeks for in stock items to be dispatched, and longer if items are made to order. This has been especially noticable this year with the Covid-19 pandemic. This had delayed the manufacuring of many pieces of furniture. Ordering now gives you just enough time to get yours delivered as priority is given to furniture which has been ordered, rather than just going into stock. This is the way to avoid disappointment later.
At Hampshire Furniture we know how exciting it is to receive new furniture, which is why we try to make the process as hassle-free as possible. We offer free delivery to a lot of mainland UK addresses and we tell you exactly when your furniture is going to arrive. No more waiting around all day for the courier!
